No argument there, zones and KVM instances are definitely the way to
go. At some point in the future I would move to KVM when it can do what
we need.
Our setup runs labs and each user has their own isolated network.
We use "shared folders" to allow users to access their private data.
We need to be able to control the bios clock before start.
We want to be able to dig into the guest OS and execute some commands
and have it return some data.
We need to be able to do savestate and resume state. This is probably
one of the biggest hurdles because we can have duplicate copies of the
same machine start from the same savedstate.
We use vbox built in iscsi initiator to connect disks.
Do you use Spice?
have a great day!!
