Medialib is present in hipster, perhaps is possible to start from    there.
I tried to install the package from hipster but I get a core dump.
Maybe you can take sources and recompile it.

Anyway,            there is something behind this libmlib.so.2, that I cannot            find around.
Looks like            it was available once as SUNWmlib, probably Solaris 10.
This TB            binary is build against it and requires it...
Isnt'            unixpackages.com upgrading FF e TB anymore?

Have you had any success in installing latest                thunderbird ?
I tried but I cannot run the 38.x
